Changes to the TV Guide September 2025 Sky Community

On average, new discussions are replied to by our users within 90 minutes I only have broadband – had a sky package ages ago so sky staff or the website couldn’t  help either !! Now it’s happening again on Sky news it is happening every time I go back to it. I’ve had this problem before and rang Sky – they told me to turn of the sky Q box and it did the trick. The program in question was related to current events in the Middle East and was rated 12 hence the pin requirement But weird for a general news chanel!

All channels fine on my Samsung tv except for sky news . Yesterday the sound stopped on sky news, I watch it on my Samsung tv through channel 4551. When I have issues with GBN on sky stream, funnily enough With the capability to show up to 100 live events via concurrent streams, fans will have more choice than ever before on what to watch, while the dedicated Sky Sports+ channel will showcase a selection of the best live sport. For example, watching Friends on Comedy Central SD, the quality seems to be on par with Comedy Central HD.So I don’t think removing HD channels in favour of Sky Stream is logical for Sky.

Just turned over to Sky News at 1701 and no pin required so I think @oldfella was spot on. Did this answer not help you? Any ideas how I remove Pin protection from this channel please? I am marking this as an answer for now until we have any update.

I suspect he has resigned because of Sky’s daft move out of the City and is serving a “gardening leave” or NDA period during which he cannot say what is happening. Other satellite providers in Europe have removed HD channels entirely from their EPGs to encorage people to go to streaming devices. Far too many glitches for sky stream to ever have been released on the market in my book! When the screen goes blank and suddenly dissappears I always check the other news channels and they work fine. Not had any issues for some while with watching the channel on my Sky Stream.

We are aware of this issue and support teams are currently looking at it. @IanW12  please see post marked as answer. Therefore it must be a Samsung/Sky issue I have the same issue and happened at same time . I messaged Samsung help through their Community channel and they didn’t really understand.

Has anyone else witnessed problems with this channel? However given skys dish arrays, I would not expect there to be I tend to mostly watch BBC News but sometimes look at GB if I want a different perspective. Hi @tgill What specific issues are you experiencing? Never seem to get the problem with Sky news. Anybody with individual sports packs will need to upgrade.

Likewise to @lettice  we watch GB News on and off most days and never had a problem. Not had any problems with GB News of late and watch it most days through the morning and afternoon. Yes always have problems with GB news- right now, it has gone off and just have a blue screen. I likewise watch GB News quite regularly and have no problem at all. If you have, if you could provide the answers to the above questions, that’d be appreciated.

Personally have never had any issue with the channel. Why are there always problems with GB news channel. The recently revamped Sky Sports app will also become the ultimate home of sports streaming.
